2024 Polaris RZR Off-Road Side-By-Side Lineup Features Redesigned XP Model & More
Polaris has numerous upgrades on tap for its RZR range of side-by-side off-road vehicles for 2024, highlighted by a fully redesigned XP model the manufacturer says gives drivers a sportier feel on trails. RZR customers also have new colors and graphics available across the entire lineup, and electric power steering, LED headlights, and upgraded shocks all come standard. Furthermore, Polaris has made enhancements to Ride Command+, the connected vehicle information system that debuted last fall.
Meet The Lineup
The RZR family comprises Trail, Multi-Terrain, Wide Open, and Youth series models variously available in Sport, Premium, and Ultimate trims. The all-new 2024 RZR XP from the Multi-Terrain series is available in 2- and 4-seat configurations and in XP 1000 Sport, XP 1000 Premium, and XP 4 1000 Ultimate variants. Along with a new 114-horsepower (85-kilowatt) ProStar 1000 Gen2 engine, the vehicle has a 25% stronger chassis that provides such benefits as reduced vehicle noise, a redesigned driveline, and a new suspension with 20.5 inches (52 centimeters) of travel to soak up bumps on rough trails.
RZR XP riders will enjoy a redesigned cab with adjustable front seats and raised rear seating, and drivers will appreciate improved sightlines thanks to the XP’s lower hood and front fenders. Drivers of the XP Sport and Ultimate trims will also grip an upgraded steering wheel. And thanks to an oil change interval that’s twice as long and a cooler-running continuous variable transmission that extends belt life, RZR XP owners will spend less time overall on maintenance. Polaris has also implemented a patent-pending full-coverage skid plate and a tubular front bumper to protect the XP’s front end, driveline, and engine components.
Color Refreshes Galore
The host of refreshed colors for RZR side-by-sides for 2024 includes an all-new Matte Onyx Black paint job with Lifted Lime accents for the RZR Pro R Ultimate from the Wide Open series. The Pro R Ultimate and Premium trims are also available in Matte Heavy Metal. The Turbo R model is now available in new Velocity Blue with Green Burst and Military Tan with Orange Burst color schemes.
And that’s not all. The Pro XP Premium and Ultimate trims gain new graphics for their Super Graphite scheme, while the RZR Trail and Trail S variants are now available in Storm Blue for the Sport trim and a two-tone Storm Blue with White Lightning scheme for the Ultimate trim. Both trims now have the same upgraded steering wheel as the XP, while the Sport also has electric power steering and LED headlights. Another change for 2024 includes the Trail S Ultimate and Pro XP Sport and Premium trims switching to Walker Evans Racing shocks.
Take Command
Ride Command+ is now a factory option for the Pro R 4 Ultimate and is available as an accessory purchase with numerous other 2024 RZR models. The associated app gives owners remote access to vehicle health, location, maintenance schedule, and other information. An all-new Location Bump Alerts feature notifies the owner when the vehicle is bumped or moved from its last location, and the new Check-In Messages functionality lets riders check in with their contacts during a ride.
