Honda Releases 2024 Metropolitan Scooter For Commuting & Intracity Travel
City driving can be tough to navigate, but Honda says it has a solution. The manufacturer recently announced its new motorsport product lineup for 2024, including the newest Metropolitan scooter that’s designed for commuters and city dwellers. The scooter has European-inspired rounded bodywork and is built for utility with in-dash and under-seat storage compartments and a hook to secure a bag. With a step-through design, automatic V-Matic belt drive transmission, and an electric starter, the Metropolitan is also easy to operate. The Metropolitan is available in matte armored green metallic and blue metallic colors.
The Perfect City Transport
The scooter has a liquid-cooled 49-cc 4-stroke horizontal single-cylinder engine with programmed fuel injection, a 19-millimeter throttle body, and a combined braking system that automatically applies the front brakes when the rear brake is activated. It has a telescopic fork front suspension and a single shock rear suspension. The V-Matic automatic transmission is a multi-speed automatic transmission that requires zero shifting, even from park or neutral. Operators simply turn the key and press the starter button.
The lockable weatherproof under-seat storage offers 22 liters (0.77 cubic feet) of space and the bag hook can hang a tote, grocery bag, or purse. Easy use, ample storage, and fuel efficiency make the Metropolitan a great choice for commuting or driving around the city.
