Harley-Davidson Celebrates 120 Years With New Road Glide 3 Trike
From the release of its first motorcycle with a 3-1/8-inch bore and 3-1/2-inch stroke in 1903, Harley-Davidson quickly became a success and helped establish many aspects of motorcycle culture, including clubs and the now ubiquitous black leather jacket. The year 2023 marks 120 years of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. To celebrate the milestone, the company is releasing a plethora of special anniversary models, including the new Road Glide 3 Trike, which Harley says combines the stability of three wheels with the hot rod-styling of the frame-mounted Road Glide fairing.

In addition to its appealing, aerodynamic style, the Road Glide 3’s fairing has triple splitstream vents to reduce rider helmet buffeting at highway speeds. The trike has a low-profile windscreen and dual Daymaker LED headlamps, and is fitted with bobtail rear fenders and gloss black cast aluminum wheels with machined details and exposed lug nuts on the rear wheels. Owners can choose either a menacing black or a brilliant chrome finish. Riders can enjoy the Boom! Box GTS navigation and infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen and two 5.25-inch fairing speakers with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling. The weather-proof rear trunk has a top-mounted door and 2 cubic feet (56.6 liters) of storage capacity to stow items for the ride.
The trike is equipped with the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine with 90 horsepower (67 kilowatts) and 119 pounds-foot (161 newton-meters) of torque. It has an electric reverse gear and several trike-specific safety features, including cornering enhanced electronic linked braking, the cornering enhanced antilock braking system, the cornering enhanced traction control system, and the cornering enhanced drag-torque slip control system.
