Volcon Announces All-New Brat Class 2 E-bike
All-electric off-road powersports company Volcon recently entered the e-bike market with the class 2 Brat. The e-bike is built like a motorcycle, taking the unique design elements of Volcon’s popular Grunt and Stag, such as the exo-arch frame, to create a bike that can handle both on- and off-road adventures.
Performance & Style
“While our brand was built on the dirt, we have a passion for all things performance and the Brat meets our expectations,” says Volcon CEO Jordan Davis. “We set out to enter the market with not only a high-performance machine, but a bike that had style as well. The e-bike market is saturated with lookalike products, and we believe the Brat stands out from the crowd in both looks and performance. We believe the strong growth in the segment is a unique opportunity to offer a fresh product, grabbing the attention of on-road e-Bike enthusiasts. The proverbial leap from the Brat to the Grunt isn’t far. If you can ride the Brat, you can ride our Grunt, meaning as your riding style changes and experience progresses, we’ll have the product for you.”
About The Brat
The Brat features four ride modes ranging from minimal pedal assistance to full-throttle engagement that lets the bike do all the work. The e-bike has a range of over 70 miles on a single charge while in Mode 1 and over 30 miles in Modes 2 through 4. The 48-volt battery can fully charge in six to seven hours on Level 1 charging with a standard household outlet. The Brat’s motor provides instant power to muscle through sustained climbing and acceleration and has a top speed of 28 mph with off-road mode unlocked and has an integrated LED headlight and taillight for rides that start before sunrise or extend beyond sunset.
The bike has a dynamic display that allows the rider to view estimated range, trip distance, time, odometer, and speed at a glance. Riders can also connect their smartphones to the Volcon app for more detailed information on charging time, ride modes, and maps.
