New Chrome Trim Option & Styling Elements On Tap For Harley-Davidson 2022 Heritage Classic 114
If you’re looking for a break from the hectic pace of modern life, Harley-Davidson says a motorcycle from its cruiser lineup may just be the answer. For 2022, the Motor Company is offering its cruiser models—the Forty-Eight, Fat Bob 114, Fat Boy 114, Heritage Classic 114, Iron 883, Softail Standard, and Street Bob 114—in new paint colors. The 2022 Heritage Classic 114 is also available in a new chrome trim option.
The Cruiser For You
Harley-Davidson touts the Heritage Classic 114 as “the quintessential American cruiser” with its “show-stopping vintage details and pure rock and roll style.” The bike features an upright riding position, passenger seat, lockable and sealable saddlebags, full fenders, and a detachable windscreen that makes it just as home on the open road as it is around town. Other standard equipment includes Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series bias blackwall tires, a 94-horsepower (70-kilowatt) Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine with electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI), and a six-speed Cruise Drive transmission.
When it’s time to hit the road, riders will have 5 gallons (19 liters) of fuel capacity and 1.5 cubic feet (0.04 cubic meters) of luggage capacity at their disposal. The Heritage Classic 114 measures 95.1 inches long by 36.6 in. wide by 53.9 in. high (241.6 by 93 by 137 centimeters). Seat height is 26.3 in. (66.8 cm), and the wheelbase is 64.2 in. (163 cm). The bike’s dual-bending valve 49-mm telescopic front fork features aluminum fork triple clamps and "beer can" covers, and provides 5.1 in. (13 cm) of travel.
Shiny Or Dark
The new chrome trim option available for 2022 model year is ideal for Heritage Classic 114 owners who are after a brighter look, Harley-Davidson says. There’s also a black trim version that features new styling elements, including a wrinkle black finish for the upper rocker covers, camshaft cover, transmission cover, and primary cover, and a contrasting gloss black finish for the lower rocker covers.
Other trim highlights include a gloss black rear lightbar, windshield brackets, front lightbar and turn signal standoffs, black mirrors and triple clamps, black anodized wheel hubs and hub cap, and matte black exhaust shields with chrome muffler tips. The Heritage Classic 114 with chrome trim is available with black nine-spoke cast-aluminum or chrome-laced wheels, while the black trim version features black-laced wheels.
