New Bobcat Toolcat UW56 Is A Versatile, Compact Workhorse
Bobcat’s new Toolcat UW56 can operate more than 45 attachments to optimize the utility work machine for a wide variety of hauling, loading, lifting, mowing, and towing jobs. Bobcat redesigned a previous Toolcat model to create the UW56, giving it LED lighting and a smoother dual-drive response system, a rear-camera option, and much more. The interior also showcases Bobcat’s thoughtful updates, adding a 5-inch display, more comfortable ergonomics, and plenty of storage.
LED Lighting & Visibility
The Toolcat UW56’s new LED lighting increases light dispersion and intensity, all while using less power than machine’s previous lighting. Bobcat also moves the embedded road lights into the front fenders, instead of below the front windshield, for unobstructed illumination. If operators want to improve maneuvering visibility, they can also add the rear-view camera.
Smoother Operation
In updating the dual-drive response system, the new Toolcat UW56 now automatically recalls drive response settings. When driving between tasks, the automatic dual-drive is configured for smooth, responsive traction. And if operating in a low range, the drive system switches to a more aggressive response to maintain hydraulic and traction power. The UW56 can haul up to 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms) of payload and tow up to 4,000 lbs (1,814 kg). Bobcat says the new drive system delivers smoother acceleration and deceleration.
More Uptime
Bobcat improved Toolcat serviceability on the new UW56 by providing larger in-cab access points and improving the wiring harness. The fuel filter is also larger to increase intervals between replacements.
