Indian Motorcycle & Jack Daniel’s Announce Limited Edition Indian Challenger Dark Horse Bagger
Indian Motorcycle is teaming with renowned Tennessee whiskey maker Jack Daniel’s and South Dakota custom builder Klock Werks Kustom Cycles on a limited run of custom 2022 Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Challenger Dark Horse motorcycles. Based on Indian’s 2022 Challenger Dark Horse bagger, only 107 of the bikes will be made for global availability. Featuring a custom Rye Metallic exterior with gold and green accents, each Jack Daniel’s-edition Challenger will come with numerous premium amenities, including adaptative LED lighting, electronically adjustable rear suspension preload, a flared windscreen, a low-rise handlebar, and Indian’s Ride Command infotainment system.
A Shared Ethos
This is the sixth year Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s have teamed up for a limited-edition series. Each bike in the latest series will include a custom co-branded bike mat imprinted with the bike’s corresponding series number. Each will also feature a numbered Jack Daniel’s Montana Silversmiths badge, custom-engraved rider and passenger floorboards, and a genuine-leather Jack Daniel’s custom-stitched seat. Aaron Jax, Indian Motorcycle vice president, says that, just like Jack Daniel’s and Klock Werks, Indian Motorcycle shares an age-old American ethos of “uncompromising quality and craftmanship.”
“The Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Challenger Dark Horse takes our award-winning bagger to an even higher level, representing the highest levels of premium technology and craftsmanship—just as Jack Daniel’s has done with its Tennessee Rye whiskey,” says Jax.
Lean Into It
A PowerPlus V-twin liquid-cooled, 108-cubic-inch (1,770-cubic-centimeter) engine rated for 122 horsepower (89.7 kilowatts) and 128 pounds-foot (173.5 newton-meters) of torque will propel the custom bagger down the road. Indian offers an upgrade to PowerPlus Stage 2 Performance Cams, which it says will add 10% more horsepower and 3% additional torque. An optional PowerPlus Stage 1 Air Intake will both enhance the bike’s custom style and sound.
Other premium features include electronically adjustable rear suspension preload, which riders can adjust using the motorcycle’s Ride Command infotainment system. Billed as the largest infotainment system on two wheels, Ride Command powers a 7-inch display, comes with Apple CarPlay, and provides turn-by-turn navigation as well as Bluetooth connectivity, vehicle-related data, and traffic and weather overlays.
Riders can also look forward to 50% more sound than stock audio, thanks to the inclusion of Powerband Audio, which includes upgraded fairing speakers and adds saddlebag speakers. Riders will also benefit from a Pathfinder Adaptative LED Headlight and Pathfinder S LED driving lights. The headlight features 15 individual LED lenses that sense the bike lean angle to make lighting adjustments in real time.
