Polaris Off-Road Announces 2021 Model Year RZR Trail & Trail S Lineups
Polaris Off-Road’s newly announced 2021 model year RZR Trail and Trail S side-by-side trail adventure vehicle lineup features six models in Sport, Premium, and Ultimate trims. The manufacturer says they’ll arrive in dealerships in February with all-new vehicle styling and features emphasizing rider comfort and ergonomics. Nearly 30 new accessories will also be available, including windshields, roofs, doors, and bumpers. Polaris Off-Road President Steven Menneto says the lineup serves up “an unmatched combination of trail agility and advanced technology to give customers more value for a better ride experience.”
Elevating The Experience
For the 2021 lineup, Menneto says owner feedback factored into new refinements that help elevate the Trail vehicle experience. These include a new adjustable steering wheel position that sets riders’ shoulders backward against the seat, new full doors, and a new wrap-around roll cage. Tech implementations include a 7-inch glove-touch Ride Command display with access to maps, GPS navigation, and Group Ride communication. Other features include new LED headlights and what Polaris says is the segment’s first-ever factory-fitted Rockford Fosgate audio.
The 2021 Trail
The Trail models measure 50 inches (127 centimeters) wide and include a 75-horsepower (56-kilowatt) ProStar 900 four-stroke, twin-cylinder engine. Sport variants provide full doors, steel rims, halogen headlights, dual analog displays, and more. Premium adds electronic power steering, LED headlights, aluminum rims, on-demand all-wheel drive, and more. The Ultimate version includes Ride Command, a poly roof, VersaTrac Turf Mode, and more.
The 2021 Trail S
The Trail S is 60 in. (152.4 cm) wide, and is available in 900 Sport and 1000 Premium and 1000 Ultimate trims. The 900 Sport includes the 75-HP ProStar 900 engine. The Premium and Ultimate use a 100-HP (74.6-kW) ProStar 1000 four-stroke, twin-cylinder powerplant. All three models include an Engine Braking System. The 900 Sport shares features similar to the Trail Sport but adds FOX 2.0 Podium shocks. The 1000 Premium has 2-in. (5.1-cm) Walker Evans Needle shocks, faster steering, and color-matched seats. The 1000 Ultimate adds Ride Command, Rockford Fosgate audio, and a poly roof.
