John Deere Introduces Vehicles For Federal, State & Local Governments & First Responders
John Deere recently announced a new line of Special Application Vehicles for federal, state, and local governments and first responders. The custom line was designed in conjunction with IAS (International Automated Systems) to address the needs of police, fire, rescue, and security services, as well as general government applications.
Daily Challenges
"The daily challenges government agencies and first responders face are unique, and require heavy-duty, reliable vehicles that are built for the job," says Todd Halstead, program manager, John Deere. "Building upon our collaboration with IAS, which first began in 2013, we are providing customers with a turn-key, customized solution designed with their specific needs in mind."
Not Available For Private Use
Built with the John Deere Utility Vehicle chassis, the Special Application Vehicles can be customized to match other fleet vehicles and are available in red, white, blue, and black. End-users can determine location and placement of custom decals. Under agreement with IAS, the vehicles are available to the Department of Defense and governmental agencies at all levels and are not currently available for commercial or residential purchase.
