Honda Announces New & Updated 2019 CRF Trail Models

    Posted On: November 14, 2018

Honda recently announced that its 2019 lineup of CRF Trail motorcycles will include the new flagship CRF250F model and the “dramatically” updated CRF110F (pictured above) and CRF125F models. (Photo courtesy of Honda.)

Two “dramatically updated models” and one entirely new one are on tap for Honda’s 2019 CRF Trail family of motorcycles. Honda says each model includes a Keihin electronic fuel injection system and is off-road legal in all 50 U.S. states. The red-liveried models include the new CRF250F and the updated CRF125F/CRF125F Big Wheel and CRF110F. Lee Edmunds, American Honda senior manager of Powersports Marketing, says that while Honda “made waves” this year with its CRF Performance motorcycles, it “didn’t forget about recreational riders” with the CRF Trail bikes.

    The CRF250F

Available in February for $4,599, the flagship CRF250F features a SOHC long-stroke, air-cooled engine and offers 22cc more displacement versus the previous CRF230F. The bike’s chassis offers 0.5-inch (12.7 millimeter) more rear-wheel travel and 0.2-inch (5-millimeter) taller seat foam. The bike’s 1.6-gallon (6-liter) steel fuel tank features an internal fuel pump with a reserve level sensor, while a bar-mounted low-fuel indicator light “means no more reaching down to switch the tank's petcock to reserve.”

    The CRF125F/CRF125 Big Wheel

Availability and pricing is still to come for the midsize CRF125F, which boasts a new twin-spar steel frame Honda says makes it smoother, stronger, and more stable. The frame’s design only stretches the seat height by 0.008 inches for a 29.1-inch (73.9-centimeter) height. The CRF125F Big Wheel, meanwhile, exchanges 17- and 14-inch rims for 19- and 16-inch rims.

    The CRF110F

The “kid-friendly” CRF110F includes a 109cc engine, four-speed semi-automatic transmission billed as “ideal for new riders,” and a twin-spar steel frame that “takes the harshness out of big impacts.” The updated CRF110F includes a 0.2-inch thicker seat, 0.5 inches more rear-suspension travel, a handlebar-mounted low-fuel indicator light, half-waffle-patterned grips, and a ratchet-style fuel cap that is much less likely to loosen during use. Pricing and availability information are still to come.

You’ll find hundreds of new and used dirt bikes for sale every day on MotorSportsUniverse.com, including Honda CRF110F, CRF125F, CRF125F Big Wheel, and CRF230F models.
