Kawasaki Supercharges All-New 2026 Teryx 4 H2 & 5 H2 UTVs For Success
Kawasaki recently introduced all-new Teryx 4 H2 and Teryx 5 H2 high-performance sport UTVs for 2026. The side-by-sides combine an eye-catching Lime Green paint job and aggressive, front-leaning stance with the tantalizing power of a 999-cc in-line, 4-cylinder supercharged engine rated for 250 maximum horsepower (186 kilowatts) at 9,000 rpm housed in a highly rigid frame primed for “dune and desert domination.”
The new flagship of the Teryx lineup is available in three trims: The up to four-passenger Teryx 4 H2, the Teryx 4 H2 Deluxe eS, and the up to five-passenger Teryx 5 H2 Deluxe eS.
Supercharged Performance
The UTVs’ 4-stroke, liquid-cooled supercharged power plant can generate 146 pounds-foot (198 Newton-meters) of maximum torque at 8,800 rpm. Kawasaki says it developed the engine’s centrifugal-type supercharger in-house and based it on its Ninja H2 SX hypersport motorcycle. Drivers can expect strong, instant acceleration and significantly higher speeds than other Teryx models, but with predictable handling thanks to speed-sensitive electric power steering (EPS).
A high-capacity, rubber-belt continuously variable transmission (CVT) transfers power from the engine to the tires. Operators can select Full, Mid, and Low Power modes to meet their driving preferences and varying driving conditions. Low Power mode, for example, provides about 60% of full power and is well-suited for low-speed tasks like unloading from a trailer. Drivers can also switch between 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD and front differential lock on the fly.
Killer Looks
Kawasaki incorporates its River Mark emblem in the UTVs’ front hood, steering wheel, and ignition key to signify their flagship status and position as one of the company’s “most prestigious and high-performance machines.”
The UTVs’ blacked-out front grille and LED accent lights and headlights contribute to what Kawasaki describes as a “fierce expression.” A sculpted intake on the front hood enhances the sporty vibe while directing wind to the tandem radiators for improved cooling.
Notable Similarities & Differences
All trim levels share core features such as all-terrain 33-inch Maxxis Carnivore Plus tires wrapped around 16-in. aluminum flow-formed wheels. Each also utilizes high-backed front bucket seats with 4-point seatbelts, a 4-link trailing-arm rear suspension, and Fox 3.0 Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks.
Key differences that set the UTVs apart include the Teryx 5 H2 Deluxe eS’ high-backed three-person contoured sport bench seat. The H2 Deluxe eS configurations use the Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS), which uses acceleration sensors to quickly sense changes in terrain and deliver dampening instructions to the suspension faster for better ground-hugging performance.
The H2 Deluxe eS models also add features like a protective plastic roof, a 10-in. Garmin Tread off-road navigation system, four in-door speakers, bead-lock wheel rims, and Lime Green-painted front and rear suspension components.
