Yamaha Announces 2019 YZF for U.S. & Indonesia

Yamaha has revealed two new entries in its YZF lineup of sport bike motorcycles with the YZF-R3 for the United States market and the YZF-R25 for the Indonesian market. The YZF-R3 will be available starting in December 2018 and come with an MSRP of $4,999, while the YZF-R25 will be available this month for 58,600,000 rupiah ($3,859.16). There will also be models available with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) available, with the YZF-R3 ABS also launching in December 2018 at a price of $5,299. Yamaha plans to release the YZF-R ABS, YZF-R25, and YZF-R25 ABS in Japan in the spring of 2019.

2019 Yamaha YZF-R3

The Yamaha YZF-R3 Supersport motorcycle features a 321cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine and a six-speed multiplate clutch transmission. One of the main highlights of the new 2019 model is the updated body, which not only gives it a similar look to the Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP, but also give it improved aerodynamics. It sports an inverted front suspension that gives the rider more ground feedback and Dunlop radial tires for better traction.

The new 2019 models have enhanced LED lights, redesigned digital instruments, a new handlebar position, lower fuel tank, and more. The standard YZF-R3 will be available in either matte black or Team Yamaha Blue, while the YZF-R3 with ABS will be available in matte black and vivid white.
