Arctic Cat snowmobiles include small, midsize, and full-size Blast, M, Norseman, Riot, and ZR series models such as the ZR2000, ZR6000, ZR8000, and ZR9000 for young and experienced riders alike. These vehicles are built for crossover, utility, and mountain riding.

Arctic Cat has headquarters in Minneapolis and engineering and manufacturing facilities in St. Cloud and Thief River Falls.
Edgar Hetteen established Arctic Cat in 1960 after leaving Polaris Industries. Hetteen co-founded Polaris with his brother Allan and friend David Johnson and oversaw the production of Polaris snowmobiles.
Arctic Cat built its first snowmobiles that same year. It began producing utility ATVs in 1996, and side-by-sides in 2005. Throughout the years, Arctic Cat also produced different types of watercraft, plus snowblowers, generators, and other equipment and vehicles.
The manufacturer survived a financial crisis in the 1980s, as it went bankrupt before a company called Arctco kept the brand alive, and eventually changed its name to Arctic Cat in 1996. In 2017, Textron acquired the company. In addition to Arctic Cat vehicles, its Textron Specialized Vehicles division manufactures Cushman commercial and industrial UTVs, E-Z-GO golf carts, and Jacobsen turf equipment.
