Honda Returns The Pioneer 700 Recreation/Utility UTV For 2022 In Standard & Deluxe Trims

Honda recently offered details regarding its 2022 lineup of Pioneer utility vehicles (UTVs), including the Pioneer 700 and Pioneer 700 Deluxe. Available in two- and four-person models, the 700’s 675-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine, 450-watt alternator, and 1,000-pound (454-kilogram)-capacity cargo bed are more than ready to take your camping and fishing gear up rough mountain trails or work crews off-road to remote jobsites. The four-person Deluxe ups the ante by including Honda Electric Power Steering (EPS), which has no breakable belts or leaking pumps to worry about.

The Pioneer 700’s fuel-injected engine is mated to a Honda automatic transmission with heavy-duty torque converter and three hydraulic clutches. The Deluxe lets drivers shift from auto to manual transmission on-the-go using paddle shifters mounted to the steering column. Both trims include triple-disc brakes with a patented scraper system that prevents debris from building up, and a fully independent rear suspension with adjustable preload rear shocks with 9.1 inches (231 millimeters) of travel. The independent double-wishbone front suspension provides 7.9 in. (200 mm) of travel and, like the rear suspension, features dual-rate springs.

All Pioneer 700 configurations include a comfortable contoured bench seat. Four-person variants incorporate Honda’s patented QuickFlip seating system to easily transition from four- to three- or two-person seating modes. Both trims include a 7.9-gallon (30-liter) fuel capacity with 1.2-gal (4.5-L) reserve and have a 1,500-lb. (680-kg) towing capacity, 10.7 in. (27 centimeters) of ground clearance, a 76.8-in. (1,950-mm) wheelbase, and a 14.8-in. (37.5-cm) turning radius. The Deluxe trim adds aluminum wheels, painted plastic, and an option of three colors (Matte Molasses Brown, Honda Phantom Camo, and Pearl Red), depending on the seating configuration. The two-person Standard comes in Olive, and the four-person Standard in Olive or Red.
