Harley-Davidson has announced several style updates to its Fat Boy 114 for 2022. The fat-tire cruiser’s Lakester cast-aluminum wheels now feature 11 turbine-like spokes and an open center, lending the bike an even sportier look. A mix of bright and satin chrome finishes can be found throughout the chassis. Harley-Davidson also revised the Fat Boy’s tank badge, retaining the bike’s original center-star icon and adding a single, trailing wing.

    Built For Power

Known for its muscular look and matching power, the 2022 Fat Boy 114 is built around a 114-cubic-inch (1,868-cc) Milwaukee-Eight engine producing 119 pounds-foot (161 newton-meters) of torque at 3,000 rpm. At 4,750 rpm, Harley-Davidson rates the engine for 94 horsepower (70 kilowatts). A six-speed Cruise Drive transmission provides smooth throttle response, and the broad Michelin Scorcher tire set includes a 240-millimeter (9.4-inch)-wide rear and 160-mm (6.3-in.)-wide front tire. The front wheel has a four-piston fixed brake caliper while the rear carries a two-piston floating caliper.

    Chassis

The 2022 Fat Boy 114 features a high-performance front suspension with 130 mm (5.1 in.) of travel and a racing-style cartridge fork that the Motor Company says reduces the Fat Boy’s weight and delivers linear damping. To improve cornering, Harley-Davidson uses an adjustable mono-shock rear suspension with 86 mm (3.4 in.) of travel, a performance enhancement that maintains the Fat Boy’s hardtail look. The bike’s curb weight is 699 pounds (317 kilograms), and the bike has a 65.6-inch (1,666-mm) wheelbase and a 25.9-inch (658-mm) laden seat height.

    Find The Right Harley

Finish color options for the 2022 Fat Boy 114 include Vivid Black, Reef Blue, and Midnight Crimson/Vivid Black. And if you’re in the market for a new or used Harley for sale, be sure to check the selection available on MotorSportsUniverse.com.
