Honda miniMOTO Comes To America For 2022 Model Year Mixing Motorcycle & Scooter Features

If you’re an admirer of the affordability, fun, convenience, and ultra-easy riding experience that Honda’s Grom, Monkey, Ruckus, Super Cub C125, and Trail 125 ABS scooters and motorcycles offer, you’re in for another treat. Honda is bringing its Navi miniMOTO to American customers for the 2022 model year providing all of these things and more. With its economical 110.3-mpg engine, long maintenance intervals, and automatic V-Matic CVT transmission that makes operation as easy as twisting the throttle, the Navi is perfect for helping city dwellers get around town, students navigate their campuses, and recreation enthusiasts everywhere more fully enjoy their outdoor adventures.

Good Things, Small Packages, Etc.

The Navi mixes elements of Honda’s Ruckus and Grom models, or, in other words, combines a motorcycle’s styling with a scooter’s easy-to-operate convenience. Moreover, customers can customize the Navi with various Honda Signature Accessories, including two graphics kits designed in conjunction with Icon and TrueTimber, as well as with any number of miniMOTO aftermarket products.

The standard yet very sporty Navi design includes a basic instrument package with large analog speedometer and fuel gauge and a hexagonal headlight. Riders will also find side-mounted foot pegs, a front-located foot lever to apply the rear brake, a storage bin, and a low 30.1-inch (76.5-centimeter) seat with a grab rail for greater passenger stability. The Navi’s engine, exhaust, frame, wheels, and suspension are all black, while the side panels are available in red, grasshopper green, nut brown, and ranger green color options.

The Navi In Depth

The Navi’s curb weight is just 236 pounds (107.04 kilograms), and the bike’s measurements are a travel-friendly 71.1 in. long by 29.1 in. wide by 41.1 in. high (180.6 x 74 x 104.4 cm). The wheelbase measures 50.5 in. (128.3 cm), and ground clearance is 6.1 in. (15.5 cm). The rear suspension features a 26.8-millimeter telescopic inverted fork and has 3.9 in. (9.9 cm) of travel, while the rear suspension provides a single shock mounted on the left side with 2.8 in. (7.1 cm) of travel.

Honda equips the Navi with a rear-located 109.2-cc fan-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine that’s titled forward 80 degrees and has eSP friction-reducing technology that helps provide the Navi’s impressive fuel mileage. An electric starter with kickstart backup is provided. Maintenance intervals include a long 2,500 miles (4,023 kilometers) between oil changes and 10,000 miles (16,093 km) between air filter replacement.
