Honda Announces 2022 Ruckus & Metropolitan Scooters

Honda’s on-road lineup of under 50-cc scooters got a boost earlier this month as the company announced the return of the Ruckus and Metropolitan. The new Honda scooter lineup, the first of Honda’s 2022 model year offerings, come in new colors and are ideal for around-town transportation. Both the 2022 Ruckus and Metropolitan will be available this April, retailing for $2,799 and $2,499, respectively.

The 2022 Ruckus

Available in white and pearl blue, gray, and midnight blue and tan color patterns, Honda’s Ruckus still features an industrial-looking design highlighted by dual, round headlights and an exposed frame. Beyond the minimal bodywork, Honda equips the 49-cc Ruckus with the convenience of electric start, an electric choke, and an automatic transmission, so riders can simply get on and go. Honda says the liquid-cooled 49-cc engine also offers reliability and great fuel economy.

The 2022 Metropolitan

The Metropolitan is a European-style scooter with an appealing, rounded design that includes in-dash and under-seat storage compartments, a convenience hook for securing a bag, and an available rear carrier. The 22-liter under-seat storage is big enough for a helmet and features a lock for added security. The scooter’s sensible storage options are complemented by Honda’s V-Automatic, multi-speed transmission and reliable fuel-injected, four-stroke 49-cc engine. For 2022, the Metropolitan is available in coastal blue and pearl soft beige colors.
