Polaris recently added a new model range to its RZR series with the introduction of the PRO XP 4 sport side-by-side. The new utility vehicle lineup is available in three trim levels, including the PRO XP 4 Premium, which features a lighting package, multi-point harnesses, premium paintwork, an updated storage system, and several other upgrades. The higher-end PRO XP 4 Ultimate adds Ride Command, a Rockford Forsgate audio system, and DYNAMIX 2.0 steering wheel controls. Now available for order, the prices for each model start at $25,699 for the standard model, $27,999 for the Premium model, and $32,299 for the Ultimate model.

    Interior & Exterior Design

Polaris focused on ergonomics when designing the interior of the PRO XP 4, providing more easily adjustable seats, lower seat positions in the front, “slightly elevated rear seating” for improved sightlines in the rear, and “four more inches of shoulder room and three more inches of leg room.” The interior also features blue LED accent strips, dash storage, and fold-down backseats for up to 16 extra cubic feet (0.45 cubic meters) of storage space. Exterior features include half doors, larger fuel capacity with a 13-gallon (49.2-liter) tank, 30-inch Maxxis Carnivore 2.0 tires, and LED lights.

    Performance & Durability

The PRO XP 4 features a 925cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke turbocharged engine that produces 181 horsepower. The new models are 64 inches (163 centimeters) wide and 125 inches (318 centimeters) long with a ground clearance of 14.5 inches (37 centimeters). Polaris says the PRO XP 4 has the longest chassis of any RZR, giving it “next-level stability through high-speed whoops and dune transitions.” The company adds that the new models have axles that are “eight times stronger” and can “twist up to 300 degrees,” a redesigned transmission that “delivers 39% more durability,” and a front drive that is “three times stronger” than past models.

Those interested in upgrading the RZR PRO XP 4 Ultimate model can take full advantage of DYNAMIX 2.0 with steering wheel controls and FOX 2.5 Live Valve Shocks for even better performance. A dedicated “DYANMIX ‘X’ button sends the system to full firm to prevent bottoming out in high-speed events,” Polaris explains. These upgrades work together to make the range-topping UTV more stable, more agile, and more comfortable.
