Honda FourTrax Rincon Returns For 2023 With Big Engine & Comfortable Ride

Honda equips its 2023 FourTrax Rincon with an independent double-wishbone suspension with 6.9 inches (17.5 centimeters) and 8 in. (20.3 cm) of travel at the front and rear, respectively, for a smooth, comfortable ride on even the bumpiest trails. The Rincon also offers the power motor sports enthusiasts crave, by way of its 675-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that Honda says is the largest in any of its ATVs.

Engineered For Performance

Honda’s Electronic Shift Program (ESP) lets drivers manually shift the three-speed transmission using handlebar-mounted push-buttons, or they can elect to rely on the Rincon’s smooth-operating automatic shifting capability. Rincon riders also benefit from Honda’s TraxLok system, which switches the ATV from two- to four-wheel drive at the flip of a switch. Honda situates the Rincon’s overhead-valve, semi-dry-sump engine longitudinally for a direct link from the crankshaft to the rear axle, which Honda says provides more efficient power delivery. The engine’s semi-dry-sump lubrication also helps keep it shorter from top to bottom, which provides the dual benefits of a lower center of gravity for better handling, and greater ground clearance at 9.1 in. (23.1 cm).

When There’s Work To Be Done

The FourTrax Rincon is a workhorse that’s just as comfortable transporting gear to and from a campsite and extra food and drinks for a day out on the trail as it is towing a trailer of tools and supplies to a remote jobsite. The steel front rack supports loads up to 66 pounds (30 kilograms), and the rear one will bear twice as much at 132 lbs (60 kg). The ATV’s rated towing capacity is 848 lbs (385 kg).
