2022 FourTrax Rincon Blends Comfort With Honda’s Largest Honda ATV Engine
Honda says the 2022 FourTrax Rincon ATV brings together the manufacturer’s long-travel Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) and fully automatic, three-speed transmission with a 675-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine—Honda’s largest ATV power plant. Riders also benefit from Honda’s TraxLok system, which switches the ATV from two- to four-wheel drive at the flip of a switch. Available in July, Honda will offer the FourTrax Rincon at an MSRP of $9,499.
Engineering
Honda situates the Rincon’s overhead-valve, semi-dry-sump engine longitudinally for a direct link from the crankshaft to the rear axle. The engine’s semi-dry-sump lubrication helps keep it shorter from top to bottom, which provides the dual benefits of a lower center of gravity for better handling, and greater ground clearance at 9.1 inches (23.1 centimeters). The FourTrax Rincon boasts front and rear independent double-wishbone suspensions with 6.9 in. (17.5 cm) and 8 in. (20.3 cm) of travel, respectively. Honda’s Electronic Shift Program (ESP), lets drivers shift the three-speed transmission using handlebar-mounted push buttons for a smooth ride.
Built For Work
Riders can use the FourTrax Rincon’s integrated steel racks to safely secure gear, tools, and other work materials. The front rack supports loads up to 66 pounds (30 kilograms), and the rear rack will bear twice as much at 132 lbs (60 kg). The ATV’s rated towing capacity is 848 lbs (385 kg).
